Best of the ’11: Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper
,
“Giza”

Technically released in the dying days of 2010 – although it sounds for all the world as if it was released in the dying-from-radiation-poisoning days of a 1980′s nuclear apocalypse. From the Atari cartridge cover like artwork, to the future-shock techno that’s reminiscent of Cabaret Voltaire and Skinny Puppy (taken to the dry-ice shrouded dancefloor), it’s fair to say that Gatekeeper are more immersed in retro ’80s-isms than is probably healthy.  Fine by me.
